I think we will tell our children someday about how relevant blogs were at the start of internet. How citizen journalists actually had relevance before the media conglomerates figured out how brew the proper mix of pay-per-click, and social content narcotic. I’m under no illusions, that time has passed and the medium has been corpratized monetized and throughly fucked. I will begrudgingly except this sites lack of relevance and inability to rise above the likes of the social channels. That doesn’t mean however that i have any intention of shutting up shop. the motivation is different, the things i write here belong to me, are for my edification and should someone out in the big world of the internet besides the spam bots see it, good on them. This is content for content’s sake, nothing more.

Textbooks
/in geek-ness, political bum fuzzery /by wadeferdFrom Daring Fireball…. But it’s not like there isn’t a damn good source that suggests Apple’s plans for K-12 textbooks are anything short of ambitious and transforming. Delicious Explosions

A: The result would be an explosion large enough to destroy a small village. high speed collisions do that, whether or not they are made of Mexican food. Neil deGrasee Tyson AMAs on redditt

Oh wow, Rick…
/1 Comment/in political bum fuzzery, Uncategorized /by wadeferdIt’s not often you get to see a person implode live on national television – but wow. Really, I’d like to thank the GOP, Fox News and the Tea Party – your insistence that Rick Perry is a viable candidate – I guess be because he illegally shoots wild life while jogging – may have […]

A Small Project
/in geek-ness /by wadeferd“Did Everyone in the 80’s have a helicopter?” I say after the second run-through of the Air Wolf intro on Brian’s iPad. “You might be right,” he responds, “A-Team, Magnum PI – might just be how everyone got around back then…” This conversation began as a debate one whether Pinero had been beat boxing/humming (or […]
